Such a bad decision to kill him off, it was really fitting. The tiger (Kintaro) vs dragon (Goro) dynamic like in chinese mythology where both are in stuck in eternal combat because they are equal rivals.

Yeah, it did suck when he died. And I agree with your rival comment, but the thing is with Kintaro is that he never really had a personality. Unlike Goro, who is for the most part a fully realized character, Kintaro was just an obstacle in the game. They can always introduce another person from his race to take his place. Someone more fleshed out.

Hopefully, because it looked like he was the only tiger one, in the comics they assemble a shokan army, there were some with two arms, some giants, goros kind but only one tiger dude, Kintaro himself.

Ah. Didn't know that. Well, maybe with MK 9 being a reboot, they can make him part of a species of the Shokan race?
