Description

For Kielas:
XIV - Play Nice with Others
You can’t usually get too far in life without some kind of social skills. Whether you’re interacting with your loaf, your handler, or a potential mate, it pays off to know how to behave with others.
° Draw or write about one of the first times your Kukuri encountered strangers, and how they responded. Were they a natural charmer? Did things begin tense but smooth out with time? Or was it a total disaster?

For Kinos:
XIII - I Ain't Afraid of No Ghost
Fear is a force that drives almost all creatures in times of great stress. Learning to stand and face your fears is important, but it’s also important to learn when to back down and acknowledge that you’re afraid for a reason.
° Draw or write about a time that your Kukuri was scared - what or who were they scared of and how did they deal with their fear and learn from the experience, or did they learn nothing at all?

Kielas wasn't socially skilled young rook and while trying to make a friend with this pretty crimson rook he met in the woods he failed all regular social cues and completely pissed Kay off unintentionally. Luckily his handler wasn't far away and was able to calm the situation down before anything serious happened - Kielas did get a few bites and scratches but otherwise survived well (and might be that this encounter on it's own made him get totally smitten by Kay).

Unluckily for young Kinos he had to be there to see his "father" get a bit beaten up. Kinos was really scared of loud noises and also very sensitive to angry feelings to begin with, and as such witnessing this was quite a scare for him. But seeing his handler calm the situation down built his trust towards her even further and taught him that even if he wasn't able to deal with a situation, having someone else with him would certainly make things easier for him - and as such he started to glue himself onto both Kielas and their handler. As this encounter was far from being the last between Kielas and Kay however, Kinos also had to start getting used to Kay's temper and slowly get over his fear with this particular one all the way from the first time seeing the easily angered calico.

There's no stopping me! Gotta train 'em all
