My contest entry for 's 36th contest. Pokemon in space!What comes to my mind when I think of "Pokemon" and "space"?
I THINK OF SUPER EPIC POKEMON MECHA'S DOING BATTLE IN AN ALL OUT WAR!!! That's what I think of when I think of "Pokemon" and "space".
And man am I happy how this turned out. I tell you. This took me practically all month to do. And I sure hope it shows. It is pretty much the same as how I imagined it.
And who would have thought that something that I decided to do near the beginning of the month would have me submitting it at the last minute like this.
What's going on in this picture? Allow me to explain a few things. That giant blue beam is coming from an enemy ship. But as you can see, it was deflected by the Giratina command ship. Part of the beam was deflected harmlessly off into space. But the other... oops! Was sent right into one of the supporting Latios ships.
As well, the Giratina command ship is charging a beam of its own to unleash devastation upon its enemies.
As well, can you read the messages and warnings that are being displayed to the pilots of the mecha's? OK, one of them you won't be able to read fully, but you should be able to read 5 of them.
Now that's I've said my piece I would like to do something similar to what I did in my "Disaster in the Cave" deviation. I would like you guys to make the context! Who are the good guys? How is this battle actually turning out? Why is Raichu crying? Who do you think will win?

Since the beginning of Pokemon and human relationships, Pokemon have been abducted. Nobody knew why, so they blamed it on whoever was handy. Surprisingly, this was how the very first villainous team, Team Rocket, came to be. Giovanni just happened to be one of the unfortunate souls who were accused of stealing Pokemon, but that's beside the point.
Well, these Pokemon weren't just abducted randomly. They were taken to space and sent to a distant planet in the care of Clefairy. After a good number of Pokemon were brought to the strange planet, Giratina paid a visit. At a large conference for all the planet's inhabitants, the Renegade Pokemon explained a vision it had.
A vision, for a game.
It went a little like this: about 1000 Pokemon would take part in a tournament-style competition, involving mecha battles. No Pokemon would be killed, and it would be purely for spectacle by the planet, named S-39U, citizens. The vast majority of the Pokemon found this to be an excellent idea, but a few had a rebellious stance. They called themselves the Kenovo Alliance, were lead by Latios, and vowed to return when the game got out of hand.
For a millennium, the K.A. was never seen.
Up until just before that time, the game ran rather well. There was the occansional murderous Pokemon that would sneak into the brackets, but they were more often than not quickly taken care of. Giritina was very pleased. Its peace-based competition was a real hit with the Pokemon of S-39U. Then, something nobody expected happened.
Giritina was murdered on the night of its birthday by a duo of ethic-defying Pokemon. These Pokemon were Coloneal Raichu and General Gliscor.
These two were the best of friends in the planet of 465_OL. This planet was a sort of garbage disposal for S-39U. The two had one day accidentally fallen into one of the massive Dasutodasu mechas and whisked away without a trace. It was there they met an evil-to-the-core Honchkrow that taught them how to fight with mechas. This Pokemon, named Reggie the Horrid, took the two in as a sort of twisted father, and lived out his life dream of infiltrating the game through them.
He lied constantly to the innocent young Pokemon, even faking his life story. He never once mentioned that he was sent to 465_OL because of his dirty deeds, saying instead that it was because that no-good Giratina doesn't believe in honour.
Reggie didn't just teach the kids to fight, they taught them to kill, and when they were deemed good and ready, they were sent out on a mission. After killing Giratina, the two psychotic boys signed up for that year's games.
Nobody ever found out who the murderers were.
Without Giratina to judge the battles, and nobody left to take the position due to the complicated rules, the games became naturally bloodier. In the course of the three months the game took, Raichu and Gliscor didn't just defeat, but killed every other entrant. Finally, the time came where they had to battle each other. No holds were going to be barred.
It was around this time K.A. returned, and built their own fleet of ships. Latios even found a way to hack into the main frame of Giratina's old referee ship. Together, the small alliance headed out in an attempt to stop the two boys from bringing unnessesary death to themselves.
Reggie wasn't going to let this happen, and he made his own ship, equipped with a giant gun that shot blue laser beams.
This brings us to the present picture. The Kenovo Alliance is trying its best to stop the feuding friends, being held back by Reggie's unseen ship. S-39U, shining from the vast amount of electricity being used by the citizens to view the game, casts a dark shadow on the already pitch-black 465_OL. Coloneal Raichu is now only starting to realize the mistake in his actions, but the fact that it's too late to right this wrong is too much to bear. General Gliscor is as viciously psychotic as the day he was "adopted".
The Pokemon of S-39U are calling this the Battle of the Millenium. I call it absolute win.

I'm not sure if there even is a limit. I know from past experience that if you use the same character for too long it's considered spam and the comment won't be posted.

*Another dramatic clash against each other, creating sparks*
Raichu: (...Pikachu...My brother... I won't let your death go to waste... I Promise... I will protect the world with everything I've got...) ...I WON'T LOSE!!!
Gliscar: HAHAHAKKEKHA!! Surprise Surprise!!
Raichu: Huh!?! A hidden attack??!
*Gliscar takes out a hidden weapon, another blade*
Raichu: Crap!!!
*Stabs Raichu where he is un-guarded*
Raichu: GGAAHHHHH!!! *Cries in pain*
Gliscar: HAHA! How do you like that!!??
*Raichu Backs off*
Raichu: Ugh.. geh.. *Coughs out blood* (Crap...I didn't expect him to pull out another blade... I can't take another vital hit like that.. or it will be over... My mech is running out of energy...)
Gliscar: HAHA!! What happened to all that confidence?! You seem like you ran out of energy!
Just give up you will never succeed...!
Raichu: .......Heh...Heheh...HAHAHAA!!!! HAHAHAAAHAAAA!!!! *Laughs hysterically*
Gliscar: ...See? you even lost your mind.. Poor pathetic being.. I should just end this right now...
Raichu: Who said I was crazy...? I'm perfectly sane... There's no need to end it..

Raichu: From the moment our swords clashed. My sword has the power to slowly paralyze any opponent it comes into contact with. It took a while for the paralysation state to come into effect..

Oh yes! I heard of that anime. I heard its the type that you either love or hate. Another friend I talked to said she hated it so I was a little reluctant to watch it.
Good job on the skit! 
I didn't think it was cheesy. I guess the picture was kinda cheesy too now that I think of it. But you know, all things that are epic can be seen as cheesy I guess.

Neon Genesis is a pretty sad anime, it's depressing. But I love it, it has it's happy moments.
On the skit, I was imagining it was a fight between the electric types or Pichu -> Raichu Pokemon vs the Dark Type Pokemon. I imagined that Raichu was the last Raichu ever in existance (until a Pikachu evolves or something). Raichu protects it's race or something like that. Having blood in the helmet probably would have made Raichu look very psycho o,o. xD It probably would have looked scary if you gone with the blood in the helmet thing.. haha.
That's true, somethings that are cheesy could be so cheesy that it makes it look epic.

It actually took a number of tries to get the angle for Gliscor's head the right way. But I'm really happy how it turned out.

No, the first in the series is called "Mobile Suit Gundam" or something. But I've never actually seen it. But to see Seed and 00 one doesn't need to watch all the series in order because they are mostly set in different timelines.
However, despite the fact that it is old, I did hear that Mobile Suite Gundam was very good.

I started with Gundam Seed. And while a lot of Gundam fans told me it wasn't so good, I really enjoyed it.
