  Personality

    Light hearted

Wisteria doesn’t want to cloud other people’s lives with her disability to do most things, so she tries to make jokes. She’ll always tell you that you look amazing even though she can’t really see you. Some also call this being a smartass.

    Superstitious

Wisteria found comfort in the mystical as a child. With the help of her maid and tutor, Wisteria learned the old traditions of her family, praying to the gods, and setting 4 doves out over the fields at the start of the planting season for good luck. While she does appreciate the sciences of the Kawaru, she hold the actions of spirits and the whims of gods with the same weight as the structures behind science. This is not always a helpful trait.

    Petty

Wisteria dwells on many things, but especially things that upset her, far longer than is healthy. To her own downfall, these things come up in tiny spats, making the problem worse for everyone.

    Short tempered

Wisteria internalizes much of her anger, but when it boils up, beware. She doesn’t much like the way her anger makes her act, but when she gets going, she can’t do much to stop.

    Independent

Most of her childhood she was tiptoed around by everyone she knew, so Wisteria has grown to be definitely independent. She uses her blessing to get around on days when her vision is less than average. She finds ways to function when she can’t normally, and tries to solve problems before they happen.

    Poite

With so many looking to her for guidance as an administrator, Wisteria functions with the utmost kindness. She also happens to be one female among many young men with big egos that she has learned to sway.

    Manipulative

Wisteria knows that those around her think her to be fragile, so she uses it to her advantage. She plays on others views of her to progress her own agenda.

  History

The Asunas Orchard was a well established Provider of a variety of goods. From Peaches to potatoes, The orchard did it's best to grow it all, for the best of the herd. It had grown far beyond the reaches of one family, though one family made all the decisions pertaining to the orchard: the Asunas.

Dov was the eldest of four sons, making him the head of the estate. He ran his business effectively with the help of his brothers. Dov upheld tradition and left little room for the Kawaru’s alternative methods. His family’s traditions had brought them prosperity for countless eras, and as such, he devoted himself to maintaining them. His wife bore twin sons and a daughter. They were the future of his home, and so he brought them up under strict rule.

While the twins were sound of mind and body, Wisteria was less so. She fell sick a few years after birth. While she passed through the illness quietly, her body was too young to weather the disease. She was weaker than most, confined to the house for her own safety. The most lasting effect was on her eyes. Blindness had begun its progression as a result of the strain her body tried to pull itself through. Unknown by her and her parents, Argus had seen this and given her his most esteemed blessing, The sight. He knew it would help her in her future.

Dov used his family’s wealth to send his sons to a private school. When his daughter came of age, she was kept at home out of fear she may fall ill again and be too weak to continue. Her eyesight was worsening, but she insisted that she was fine. The Asunas were warned by a magi of Wisteria’s progressing blindness and that concern colored the way they interacted with her. She was made of glass, much to her denial.

Dov brought on a tutor, a hippocampus named Dorine. She was a retired teacher who was more than willing to be Wisteria’s full time caretaker and tutor. While her brothers were off in school, she was sat at home, being taught a little of everything. Dorine knew that wisteria detested being treated with caution, so Dorine did not. The two became friends. Dorine broke up their studies with tales of lore and superstition, something Wisteria found extremely interesting. Thoughts of Kitsunes and Wisps whirled around her head.

Her childhood was spent almost entirely on the Orchard, walking the grounds with Dorine, making sure to visit each of the four corners of the Wisteria garden. The garden wasn’t a place of sustenance for the body, but that of the soul. It had four shrines in each corner of the courtyard, adorned in trees and flowers. The shrines are dedicated to the four gods, Kaia, Alya, Cascade, and Argus. The looked down onto the main of the orchard, keeping harvests bountiful, weather right, rain flowing, and life pulsing.

Every morning was started with a prayer at each of these shrines, even when her brothers were home. They didn’t see the need to pray, “tainted by the kawaru” as Dov would say, but Wisteria appreciated tradition in a way her brother did not, though she also appreciated the Kawaru in a way her father did not.

As wisteria grew into adulthood, and her brothers assumed their roles as the head of the estate, she maintained tradition. Dov and his brothers were too old to concern themselves with the operation of the Orchard, leaving that to their children as their parents had done for them. Wisteria was ignorantly left out of the practices of running the orchard by her brothers and cousins, who still treated her with the caution from her childhood, even though she was more than able.

Finally, Wisteria went to her brothers and claimed her birthright. Every other Asunas was allowed to earn their place but her, and she demanded hers. Her brothers could not refuse her, and let her into the management of the Orchard.

Wisteria used not only her prayers, but her friends in the Kawaru to introduce innovative techniques to the orchard. Dov was less than supportive of her alterations to tradition, but they boosted crop production and efficiency. Her brothers let her have free reign of the Orchard, as did every other Asunas.

Chapters (did not participate in 1-6)

Wisteria was always active in as many ways she could be. She rallied for the Serorans to be allowed to work for a share of their crop. She was less successful in her private endeavors, but sent planting techniques and practices to those closer to Sedo, hoping the knowledge of her family’s long line of Botany and agriculture would lend those struggling some wisdom.

With the Orchard far from the confines of the caves, the fires of Aodh left Wisteria unburdened. Instead, she reached out to the local Kawaru- mind you without her father knowing- and asked for their help with chemistry. A few fields had been growing strained and she needed guidance on how to make the soil nutrient rich once more.

Ever one for superstition and tradition, Wisteria and her family went to Nariah for the day of the wisps, following them into all corners of the city and listening to their secrets. Of secrets within the caves, the most unsettling was that of Ignacio’s reamergance. The Asunas had a severe aversion to the patron, fire reeking far too much damage on a Orchard made of wood. Upon returning, Wisteria’s call for a chemist was answered by a friend. Arges Hara was a notable figure in the field and could help her with her project of returning the orchard to its former glory.

As events progressed, the two formed a friendship. Arges never once doubted her abilities. When Arges returned to the city, though, she felt a sadness she hadn't known before. With time, this sadness faded, but she was alone yet again. The kitsune Jomei saw this loneliness as an opportunity for mischief. The two came to find joy in another and became unlikely friends.

Relationship Status:  Single and not really looking

  Skills:  making blind jokes

  Notes:

  • The Asunas Crest is a white wisteria tree

  • The Asunas Orchard is ,,,, huge. Long ago they absorbed many families into one to make one land mass to farm and are major providers of the herd Rations. The Asunas Orchard is run not by one, but by all of the family, as it takes many to manage such a large farm. In addition to the Asunas, the farm gives jobs of all kinds to many bremians, most recently to the Kawaru who need multiple jobs to make a living. This influence is felt but controlled by dov and his sons, though Wisteria is more open to their alternative solutions, many of which have boosted efficiency and growth on the farm, something no one can argue with.

  • Theyre… loaded smh im sorry let me have one rich kid

  • Wis is almost always accompanied by someone, whether it be a guard, Dorine, a sibling, or a cousin, there's always someone who will protect her fiercely.

  • born blessed with the sight but doesn't really flaunt it

  • Jomei the One Tail: The kitsune came upon the blind hippocampus in her orchard, sleeping. The kitsune took the time to draw close and, much like a disgruntled jigglypuff, drew on the unwitting victim's face, though earned no response. Out of frustration, the Kitsune grew an obsession with the mare. Young and inexperienced, Jomei was frustrated that her usual tactics were failing, so the Kitsune refuses to leave Wisteria alone. As such, an unprecedented friendship formed, and the kitsune has grown very protective of the mare.
