Description Honda's first Formula One victory was at the 1965 Mexican Grand Prix, driven by Richie Ginther on the Honda RA272, the first Japanese car to win the race. The victory came two years after Honda's F-1 debut, and demonstrated the quality of Honda's chassis and engine technologies.
