After countless allegations of pandering to the so-called "fratboy demographic" with gameplay modes such as "Queen's Match" and "Mad Mud Wrestling", Konami executives decided that the best way to steer clear from such critiques would be to include a more intellectual minigame in the next entry in the Rumble Roses series.
Hence, chess.
On a largely unrelated note, I fucking hate Bloom effects.

True, true. The jump to X-Box broke my heart.
Also, I'd love to see a chess game hidden in the game as a joke to all the cheesecake bonus stuff like the Queen's Matches. You got all these sexy silly girly things, and suddenly BAM! They're playing the King's Game, completely focused. It'd be so right in your face, having something so intellectual pop out just like that in the middle of all the bikinis and mud.
