Hm, glint was the wrong word. There's two little spots of blue on the butterfly's right wing.

ah, well, that's the way I was able to identify the butterfly. A pity those butterflies don't open the full wingspan, and they are quite big actually.

I got to agree on the more color on the butterfly, but that was the most it opened its wings, lol. (I'm still having a hard time deciphering which species is it.) I'm glad you liked it! I also agree that its far far common to see this type of insect shot, I wanted to try it for myself, lol.

After much Googling, I was not able to find it. Evidently it is quite frequent for a new species to be found in South America. Sorry that I could not help more.
