This would be an overall fairly strong piece, but the one thing that kind of throws off the impact is the clashing of flow.

The wind in the water, the tree, and the clouds give it a very horizontal appeal, including the chosen orientation. Art is like music, there has to be something that carries you through, but because of the bold verticals of the chains in the watches, I'm sort of dropping down, then stopping and start over again with the horizontal direction of the lower hemisphere, like my mind is overwhelmed. My suggestion would be to perhaps make the chains thinner and less detailed so that they would fade back into space. Detail on small objects at distances never usually does art justice.

I am completely in love with this piece, it is absolutely stunning!

Everything about it is so beautiful but I will try to piece together why this is (if that is even possible with art)

First of all, I love the feeling of energy that is so present in this piece, it is felt all over from the windy branches to the running clouds and the lapping waves.

I adore your use of colours as well. Generally, I end up keeping to a similar colour scheme and do not use a ton of contrasts in large amounts when it comes to my own pieces but the way you have contrasted so much here makes this stunning. The pitch black sky is wonderful and creates a chalkboard like feeling for the rest of the environment.
The vibrant blues in the waves are gorgeous and I love the beautiful green hills.

Another aspect I am really loving with this piece is the absolute glow you accomplished. It can be difficult to accomplish light traditionally and I have even seen many artists turn to digital means to alter the light in their traditional pieces but the way you have painted the light coming off the clocks and gears is so vibrantly real it almost hurts my eyes (in the best of senses!)

I also love the textures in this drawing from the smooth strokes in the lively waves to the bumpy puffs in those strange and wonderful clouds.

I really love the shape of that tree as well and all the little stars flying out of it remind me of tiny spiders leaving their mother's web which I adore. I also love the little mushrooms tucked about the roots.

Overall this is an incredibly beautiful work of art and I am absolutely in love. To hear that you had a tad bit of inspiration from me is such an honor as well!

Wonderfully done! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/r/r… " width="15" height="18" alt="" title="Black Rose"/>
