Thank you, I have also been using tippex pens (although not in this piece, mostly in some of my recent uploads.). The tippex white is more vibrant than the gel pen, but it doesn't have a fine tip so its easier to make mistakes.

thank you for letting me know there are different tips on the gel pens. Have you ever used the copic markers? If so what do you think of them? I tried markers once but I guess they were so cheap that all they did was streak.

Not yet, I think I have most of the Letraset Promarkers, and some Letraset Flexmarkers which I have been collecting for a few years now. I love those pens so much. Although I haven't tried copic myself from looking at other people's art I think Copic might blend better than Letraset markers. I have been planning to purchase a set and see the difference between the two. I think the best way to avoid streaks is to work whilst the ink is still wet so it dries evenly, it's why I quite like flexmarkers especially for larger surfaces. Do you know what markers you used?

Well there are a lot of different markers. I would really love to try out Chameleon Pens...but they are so expensive! Dx
Letraset are a bit less expensive than Copic. Around £2.50 for individual pens on average but I think sets of 6-12 pens range anything between £8-£25. There are also sets (that sometimes work out less expensive) of 24 pens, with a wallet or metal container, a blender and letraset paper.
Yeah, to use these pens - and most other markers - you should research different papers. I know some people use card, but I use letraset paper, it helps the pens blend a bit easier and stops them bleeding because one side has some kind of smooth protective shine to it. I think they can take a bit to get the hang of with blending (I'm still learning) but I would say they are worth a try if you ever come across any that aren't too pricey. :3

Beautiful! I love the light reflections on the scales, especially around the eyes.

Thank you so much, I was going to try and do the light effects realistic but kind of got carried away with the gel pen so I think they look more like markings now. xD

I used a brand of WHSmith pencils, they may be called The Spectrum Sings? In any case they were in a purple cardboard box if you were interested. They aren't ridiculously expensive either, I think I got a box of 36 for between £10-£15, which considering they've lasted a while isn't too bad. The gel pen was Uniball Signo White~I think which for only £1 is great xD.

I have considered upgrading when my current pencils die out, would you say Faber-Castell blend better than ordinary pencils, or are more vibrant? I have never used them before so I can't yet make the comparison. Also there are so many types of Faber pencils Dx

Except for the Gold and the Copper pencil, all of mine are really good and blend very good. They are indelible but I don't think they are more vibrant than yours. You can check my pictures, I draw with them. You're right, there is a ton of different pencil types... really hard to decide which is the best for your drawing style. I think it's a lot about testing.

That's why you need scanner XD Or you can use an editing program like Photofiltre Studio or something like that to edit photos, they won't look that blurry.

Thanks for the feedback, yeah it would be nice to start submitting decent photographs again. XD I sometimes edit photographs on the Photo editor on my tablet to enhance the saturation or brightness to make it look more like the original but sometimes I think it makes it worse. I know that the source of the issue is badly taken photographs xD.
