yeah, vray settings can be really confusing, especially if you not really sure what you are doing.. try using only the default settings with GI turned on.. and work you way up from there..

Here is an idea to capture photorealism. Add imperfections to skin texture, facial structure, etc. No major one, but minor one. play around with it and I guarantee you will get more human-like results. No one has a perfectly symmetrical face or body for that matter. Just food for thought! Also try making the fabric looser and more flowing rather than body conforming rigidness.

hehe.. well thats all very true and all, but most of that is already updated in my newer works.. you do realize you giving this advice on a pic thats 2 years old, right ? the quality of my renders now is not even close to this anymore.. i think it would be a lot more useful if you give this kind of advice on more recent work instead of these old ones, wouldnt it ?

I actually think this is possibly about as realistic as it gets with present 3D graphics technology as it is, probably within six months of this comment it'll be a different story. A brilliant piece of rendering, less of a real doll and more a real person!
