If this is practice for film then you will need a touch of burning and dodging in your print.
Just need to tone down the highlights in the background and etch out a bit more detail in the foreground.
Pretty easy to do with software but a bit more tricky and time consuming with negatives, so have fun.

Good shot all the same, I could place myself in that picture and feel quite comfortable

dodging and burning still need to get better at that I tend to try and get the perfect neg and avoid the D & B

I think I told you this a while ago. Film processing is an art form in it's own right and not something you learn in a few lessons or weeks. You are probably finding that out for yourself
With digital you can see the image you are working on and see the changes you make.
With film you basically see nothing and have to guess if this or that is right, it's hard work and needs a lot of practice.
It's is fun but give me digital any day Been there and done the film bit, years ago

I really love film but still a green horn I do love digital but there is something magical when you see you prints develope in the dark room truly awesome i dont get the same excitement with digital, I have a lot more fun in the darkroom than in front of my computer but in saying that film is making me very poor

Because film develpoment is now out-of-vogue all the film, paper, chemicals etc become much more expensive. The digital age in reverse so to speak.

indeed but there seems to be alot of people keeping film alive and is still very effective when it comes to lagre format and producing huge prints, alot of professionals still use film

Yep, film is good for large works, that's for sure. You will have to get yourself a two & quarter square taking 120 roll film, then you can go massive, not just big. Got an old 2 & quarter Rolliflex sitting in the cupboard.
