Steam Powered Giraffe is bit of an oddity, even in the world of steampunk. Β They're a musical pantomime troop that dresses up like steam powered robots from the Victorian era. Β As zany as that sounds, they're also incredibly gifted musicians, and I really enjoy their work. Β Unlike most bands with a schtick, they don't let their gimmick overrule their appeal. Getting back to your image, I really like the way that you used the lighting to lead the eye. Β The composition of where you placed the character shouldn't work, but it does - mostly due to the diagonal slash of light and shadow - and also to how pale Alucard's face is. Β The combined effect draws the eye nicely, and frees you up to give the character his casual, devil-may-care lounging body language. Β Aside from just looking good, it's really quite nifty from a technical perspective!
