Wanna practice on more females. So I did Shade the Echidna! I wish there's more of her since she's really a great character. The Helmet is a bit tricky tho

So far the helmet is good. I know it is tricky but this alright for your first time. Just keep practicing on helmets. Also not bad for your first female.

Sonic Chronicles is pretty terrible. Not because I don't think a turn-based combat Sonic game is impossible - actually I even think this IS possible to pull it off ; but because the game design as a whole feels too basic - to me at least, they used literally placeholders for music, 3Ds are very low quality for what a Nintendo DS was capable of at the time...
It didn't prevented me from finishing the game of course but it wasn't my best experience with an RPG in general.
Sorry, felt like talking about the game more than Shade but what I think is interesting is that the character of Shade brings up an interesting mechanic making her life stealing assassin, fitting the character. There is some good intentions with this game which makes the whole failure more sad...

It's okay. I have mixed feelings with gameplay but the lore is what I love the most in Chronicles, especially with Shade. It is sad how she ended up in a game that isn't always on par with being a decent RPG though.

Yep. The lore was okay to me. It's nothing transcending: the evil empire looking to conquer the world, his main general realizing the error of his ways decides to betray him and join the heroes. Standard stuff. I understand people like it but to me, even the plot could have been better.
