Description
At a later point in Thane's afterlife, he goes missing for several weeks after being overwhelmed with all kinds of negative emotions from past events. It's eventually learned that he was abducted by his ex-trainer, who held him captive until Magi managed to track him down and rescue him. Suffice to say, this only made Thane feel even more inadequate and stressed, but he shrugged off any concerns from his friends that he received and tried to pretend that he wasn't bothered by things anymore. While he could lie to his friends and even to himself, he couldn't hide from these feelings forever, and he starts to develop extreme nightmares. Henry took Thane's disappearance quite personally and felt awful that he wasn't able to help much in finding him, so to make up for it he decided to act as Thane's temporary guardian until the ghost could get a handle on his stress. So wherever Thane went, Henry would follow, much to the ghost's dismay. While resting in Starfall Forest, Thane began to suffer from another nightmare, this one mocking his lack of strength and inadequacy as a guardian for all his failures. Henry quickly sensed this and forced Thane to wake up by locking him into a tight embrace, stirring Thane awake and disorientating him enough to the point where he forgot what he was even dreaming about. Henry's idea to help Thane involves shouting all kinds of encouragement to the ghost and remind him how loved he really is... something that's appreciated by Thane but he feels embarrassed and undeserving of.
