It had been many hours since the party first set out into Creeping Forest. Charcoal the Zorua was growing very agitated. This didn't look like the right part of the woods! The thick leaf-litter was the wrong shade of brown! The tree's trunks were long and spindly, not thick and solid like the trees she knew so well. This wasn't where her mama was at all!

Meanwhile, the initially spirited and enthusiastic rescue-party was beginning to lose focus. Mike the Charmander tried several times to talk to Charcoal, politely asking if they were getting any closer to Jasmine, but he was only met with biting remarks and general hostility from the frustrated Zorua. Eelysia, ever-sensitive and aware, began to notice the bad vibes and came up with an idea! The group really needed to get back their focus and chi, and what better way to do that than with a calming meditation session?

Eelysia sat everyone down on the forest floor and crossed her legs, demonstrating the proper position for good chi flow. Bark, Mike, and Charcoal all at least sat down, though Missy seemed to decide that a higher perch was necessary for good "bird chi" and landed upon Bark's head.

Katie the Mienfoo, who comes from a long family history of meditation and martial arts, immediately scrambled off into the leaf-litter for her very own brand of meditation. And naturally no one questioned it: who would think of challenging a Mienfoo when it came to chi?

Finally, after ten long minutes of humming, chirping, muttering, and some deeply frustrated sighing, the meditation session was over! To Eelysia's practiced eye, everyone seemed much calmer, or at least more subdued. And Charcoal even seemed to have a better sense of direction and purpose! How quickly she ran ahead of the group, and what sharp turns she took! The rescue party dashed along behind her with a renewed sense of hope, assured that Jasmine was right around the corner and ready to be saved by their acts of heroism.
