Age 5- Ah, the innocent days of youth. This is way before the story begins, and thus far before anything of interest happens. Caroline is a happy, carefree five year old.

Age 13- A year after she is taken as her uncle's apprentice, Caroline is now a studious alchemist traveling with her uncle to uncover the secrets of alchemy. This is also around when her uncle passes away due to shrapnel wounds that became infected after the Ishvalan raid of Resembool when she and her uncle had visited a distant relative. Caroline blames herself for her uncle's death, feeling as if it is her fault that she did not get help in time, and becomes even more isolated than ever before.

Age 17- A year before traveling with the Elrics. Caroline has taken it upon herself to regain and continue her uncle's research almost as a way to forgive herself for "killing" her uncle. She travels alone mostly and researches in Amestris's many libraries. Personality wise, Caroline has hardened her soul towards any other human and has risen a shell of protection around herself by becoming cold and cynical.

Age 23- Several years after her journeys both by herself and with the Elric brothers end. Caroline now has changed drastically due to her travels with the Elrics, becoming less cynical and harsh towards others. She eventually had forgiven herself and had finally come to terms with her uncle's untimely death ten years before, thus putting her mind more at ease. She still studies alchemy, but she is no longer as obsessed with her uncle's research as she had been. She begins her own projects and blossoms as an individual.
