Whooo, it's done in GIMP! I could never do something like that in GIMP. The hair looks very nice and shiny, but I like the skin colouring the most.

im sure you could do even better, GIMP just takes a while to get used to
and yes, i used the paint tool...i cant do solid coloring

Ah, I see. I haven't used it much so I'm not skilled at it, at all. I prefer OpenCanvas for digital painting, it blends colours very nicely (especially when used with a tablet). I highly recommend it (and the earlier versions are free too. ^^)

great lighting on the chin and neck - shadows on the cheeks seem a little greyer then might be perfect. nice chin line and hair - piercing blue eyes too.

Heehee! If I was still a teenager, I'd say he's pretty cute!! XPP Awesome job with the hair and the eyes. They are Very expressive! I like how you colored this one, too. It's a little more subtle, and well-blended than many older works, and I think it feels more real, less rushed, and comfortable. It's also a nice contrast to the sharp colors and edges in the hair! (speaking of which, good thinking, blurring out the hair that's farther back, and creating that vignette in the background so the edge stays crisp and distinct!) Well done, you!
