There are few people think that Degel & Seraphina is a couple. >__<
The story of the past Bluegard is not much, and Seraphina is dead in the story (so people don't know Seraphina's personality, even though I can feel her nice and warm in Degel's memory-->that's what Degel think about Seraphina~Q_Q)
I can't agree you more about "when Degel touches her cheeks and how he looks at her"!!I think so too!!!I moved by Degel's emotional expression so much. Q___Q
Maybe there'll be more story about Degel, Seraphina and Unity (and Kardia) in the new chapter of Lost Canvas. I want to see it!!

Yes~ there is a new story (Gaiden) after LC's end!!
The new story is about 12 gold saints, and the first story is Albafica (when he is a young boy).

You're right there's a lot of romantic implication between these two, at first I thought it was a stupid way of killing the Aquarius Saint, but it's actually the ultimate expression of love and devotion

There's no clearly statement if Degel love Seraphina or not in the manga, but I think Degel is Seraphina's admirer since he is a little boy in my mind.
That will make this story very very romantic.
So that's OK for Degel stay with Seraphina (the woman he love, not Poseidon)under the sea.
