Description [Week 30/30] - Theme: Self Portrait
30 Week Project

Edit 05/09/15 - I have decided to end my 52 week project here at 30 weeks. Ever since my second long stay in Scotland, and my ever nearing reality of graduation in less than 10 months time, all my other thoughts have been entirely consumed. I can barely think of anything else other than the approaching reality of finally graduating and being able to leave Malta for good. It's really hard trying to think of currently relatable concepts inspired by the project's pre-set themes when that's all I have on my mind. Ending it here is for the best.

The more time I've spent in the UK the more I've fallen in love with it. There's still plenty of sacrifices still to be made in order to continue conquering my dreams - and in reality, this is all only just the start of a new journey - but I am confident that this is the path I want to take.

Thoughts
My first upload with my new 24mm STM pancake lens c: It's a nice little thing - very portable and a comfortable focal length for walkaround, but to be honest image quality wise I wasn't as impressed as I was with the 40mm STM. I think its absolute best feature, after its very comfortable and familiar small-size, is the very short close focusing distance which allows some really nice close-ups without having to stay putting my macro lens on. And the f/2.8 aperture, of course.

This was taken on the second day of our road trip. We drove a total of about 260 miles that day, and among the plenty of gorgeous scenery we drove through, we drove along the length of Loch Tay. We stopped for some photos at this absolutely picturesque scene. Scottish Lochs are really like paintings that escaped their canvas and came to life.

Equipment
Canon EOS 600D
Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM
Post-processing in Adobe Photoshop CS6
