My Friesian mare Quest and I. My dad took a surprise happy snap - emphasis on the happy!

Got to spend many hours with her on my holiday up to see her and got a few nice photos. I don't think I'll bother making a journal saying I'm back and if I had a good time... I think this photo says it all!

No edits, no planning hence the messy fringe and blurry hand movement!

Thank you very much! I do as well, they really do shine! I got her nice and shiny for my ride, then a few splashes through the mud puddles... All dirty again but it's fun because I get to do it all over again!

I AM STILL USING IT HAHAHAHAHA haven't sent it off yet, mainly because it's too hard. Don't even know where the place is! So we will send it to the store I bought it from and they can deal with it problem is they will have to replace it, and there is NOTHING equivalent to what I've got now... So I want my money back to buy another brand, had two now and have been $#!T! Of course they won't give me money lol

Oi! Hopefully you'll be able to get something sorted out! Too bad you can not just buy the casing for it and move all the parts into the new laptop case. I wish I were much closer as I could probably fix a lot of things on it for you

That would be great! I have 2TB internal storage so it's really hard to find again! I can just use external ones but it's hard to have those plugged in when I am on the couch/bed all day
Recommend any brands that are good for a LOT of photos/photo edit programs/video etc? (NOT HP lol)

Rule of thumb is to not store your images on the same computer, as in the unedited versions. This way if something happens to the computer, whether it is a laptop or a desktop, you don't lose everything. I normally load everything onto an external an then move only what I need at the time or for the day onto the computer, this minimizes the risk. With that being said there are plenty of laptops that offer space for dual hard drives, though they normally just ship with one.

The largest laptop drives (single) I have found here stateside are 1tb, so if the laptop takes two drives then problem solved. As for a recommendation, I can actually do something better which should be more fun for you as it's kind of like a scavenger hunt, lol Newegg.com is where I order all of my parts from to build computers. Even if you are unable to order from them, don't know if you can, you can still check out what they have as you can fine tune what you are searching for on just about every detail. The reviews are great too as you can read through those from customers who have bought a certain thing.

Remember though that heat is a laptop killer, and the faster the cpu, the more heat, as well as the more cores, the more heat. Laptop design is flawed and always will be until they can get the wattage used low enough that the heat being put off can be controlled better. Apple is one of the worst offenders. I'm sorry I couldn't be of anymore help my beautiful friend

I've learned my lesson with that once! I will keep ALL things on an external and yeah (not as hard as I imagined - it's just like a big USB lol)

Would it be weird if I bought a good desktop to do what I do with this laptop - uploading, editing (when I even do that haha) making videos, etc AND then buy a simple little laptop, nothing special, to browse net, email, MSN, facebook (spews) and stuff like that? So I end up doing the "work" with the desktop (not needing to spend much time on it) - and the "play" with mini laptop? (more time)

I only went into laptops because I am in bed/couch all the time and sitting is impossible LOL

WOW ramble there but that's what's going on in my head on this subject at the moment haha

It is what I do It makes perfect sense. Remember even if you are in bed or laying, you could mount an lcd on a swing arm and position it for best viewing angle depending on how you are situated and then you just have the keyboard in your lap/on bed next to you as well as the mouse, less mess than a laptop Oi! I wish so much I could design something for you as well as build it so your life would be better, easier, and more productive. Anything for you to smile

That makes sense! A friend with similar health to me does that Yep I'll have a look into this, I'll probably spend the same amount of money doing that than the next time this fan breaks
