Description
My first tailcoat. I do Steampunk and tailcoats are awesome. I wear this with my blue brocade waistcoat (just barely visible underneath the tailcoat in this picture), thrift store dress shirt, and black slacks. Eventually I'll get a period shirt made to go with it.

The back tails are not (yet) lined. I made this for summer conventions and was trying to keep the garment as light (and cool) as possible. As this was my first try making this pattern I didn't want to experiment too much until I had a better grasp of how it was all going to go together.

Made from a Reconstructing History pattern in cotton fabric.
