Reimu Akiyama, my Spiritual Human OC for Bleach, Feudal Japan style

is making a doujin for Bleach set in Feudal Japan, and she was wanting people to submitt their OCs to appear in the doujin.

I submitted a few OCs, but I kinda-sorta skipped over the part about making them fit the Feudal era. I felt like making Reimu look the part just for fun I've got a back story and everything!

Name: Reimu Akiyama

Age: 18

Gender: female

Theme: It's My Life by Bon Jovi

Height: 5ft 10in

Weight: 138lbs
General Appearance: Reimu is rather tall for girls her age, with a slender, well-toned body that is well muscles but lean from diligent training. She prefers her blonde hair in a shaggy, boyish cut, just long enough to tie back in a small ponytail. Her sharp, blue grey eyes stand out from a suntanned face, seeming to stand out like twin sparks of steel when she is angry.

Clothes: As the next in line for the Akiyama dojo, Reimu prefers dressing in practical clothing. Her hakama pants are durable but well made, as well as her shitagi and kosode. She prefers woven sandals or even going barefoot. Reimu will often bind her chest with bandages.

Strengths: Close range fighting, hand-to-hand combat, offense and agility. Her attacks are primarily suited for inflicting a lot of damage.

Weaknesses: Long range fights, and she doesn't always have the best defense another combatant might have. She's always at odds when against a faster opponent as well.

Personality: Reimu is a hard worker with a surprisingly compassionate side. She also has quite a stubborn streak, and her pride usually means someone has to provide her help amidst her complaints of being able to handle things herself. Despite this fact Reimu won’t hesitate to help someone who needs it.
She likes practicing/teaching martial arts, long walks, helping people, and spending her time with the orphans.
She dislikes unnecessary violence, arrogant and/or cruel people, cold weather and dressing up in fancy clothing.

History: Reimu had been washed onto the shores of feudal Japan as a small child. It is assumed the girl was the survivor of the sinking of some foreign vessel, since her blonde hair and bluish grey eyes are clearly not native. Because of these unusual features, Reimu had to go through much persecution as a child.
Reimu was constantly on the move, having no home or family until she met Daichi Akiyama, who was an old retired war hero. He had no family or heirs, and was impressed by the girl’s strong spirit.
He was also aware of the Reimu’s high spiritual energy, his own being unusually high. He had developed a fighting style that allows humans with high spiritual energy to harness or more greatly develop their abilities.
As such Daichi took Reimu into his home, raising her as his own. He also began training her in the fighting arts, soon adding training in that would allow her to develop her spiritual energy.
Reimu is Daichi’s first student in his style Tsurirai no Tamashii, and he hopes to one day find other youngsters like her and help them harness their abilities.
At present Reimu resides with Daichi in a small dojo on the outskirts of a seaside village. They shelter war orphans there, and train the older ones to defend themselves. None currently have spiritual energy as high as Reimu or Daichi.

Powers name: Tsurirai no Tamashii (balance of the soul)

Power's appearance: This ability is more of a martial arts style enhanced with spiritual power. The user’s aura can be seen and felt by those with high spiritual pressure. So far only humans with considerable spiritual energy have been capable of mastering it. This is supposedly due to the combination of reishi and kishi.

Power's abilities: Any user of this style is capable of physical feats that would be impossible for a normal human. Reimu can jump a full 20ft at the most, and even then she can only do it about a dozen times before she starts to get tired. She also has increased stamina, so she could run the several miles and not tire. Her strength is at least doubled (can carry a horse with ease), and she can take considerable damage even for a human. An advanced user can even concentrate their reishi into a shield, though Reimu is still practicing this technique.
