aw haha it warms my heart that you remembered that little drabble and immediately made the connection between that and this drawing!! ;w;

yea i don't pair them at allllll but i honestly don't care if other ppl view this as shippy or not. personally, i wanted this to showcase Olimar acting like a daddy towards Louie more than anything else. ;n; so don't feel guilty it's ok!!! i appreciate you reaching out about submitting to the group but because it definitelyyyy wasn't drawn in that context i just don't know if i could submit it there eheh :'D (but like i said before if someone wants to view it that way it's totally fine because no matter what, art can be left up to personal interpretation anyway!! )

Of course! The connection clicked because you're the first to present this as far as I am aware. The thought that someone - in this case for Olimar to act as a father figure, is very sweet since Louie honestly seems to have been neglected fairly often, which shaped and warped his view, and even being victim of fan hate due to his possibly questionable, unintentional or misunderstood actions alone. ;^; 

Makes me smile knowing you're quite open minded and free with your art. I wouldn't suggest submitting then out of respect since this is how you, the artist, intends to display this. Though, I wouldn't guarantee that someone else will suggest. XD;; It'd be appreciated regardless, at least in my eyes. Doesn't matter if it's shippy or not, it's the central fact of caring for another that matters. >u<

I hold this really weird view of Louie where I genuinely feel for him but at the same time feel like because of his instability, he could become capable of terrible things. (As seen in the game, where he controls the Titan Dweevil and attacks Olimar.) Even so I think it all stems from an attention deficit and how he us desperate to be seen and heard, and I think a lot of times because Olimar doesn't always know how to communicate with him best, Louie thinks Olimar doesn't care and gets upset. With all of that said, I don't understand the hate for him at all.

Guess I'll just keep on trucking with this little headcanon of mine (Olimar being fatherly toward Louie) and hope more folks catch on haha. ;w; Daddy Olimar is my favorite Olimar.
