Aww thanks!! I got my wig through Arda, pretty much the only place I go to now since I had bad experiences elsewhere with wigs..

Oh well I started cosplaying not too long ago, you just have to be patient and work slowly at your cosplays (make sure you start early enough a head of time) and I am usually really picky and make sure everything is straight and pinned nicely before sewing things down. Also use patterns and practice sewing on cheap scrap fabric.
I first took a small piece of fabric and tried all the stitches my machine has, then tried all the tensions and figured out to work my machine before even making cosplays.
I did have some experience from taking a class in middle school where we made bookmarks, shorts, lunchbags and other small things out of fabric, I heard JoAnns also offers beginner sewing classes, maybe you could take one of those to get started. :3
