"Cuz I'm the Boogie Man." The lean man in the pale green suit and matching mask danced smoothly across the stage as the band played the jazzy break in the song. The man in the dark, striped suit who sat near the front of the stage, alone, caught his eye. He had been mouthing along to the song so far, bright blue eyes glittering in the neon colors, watching his every move.

Nick adjusted his mask and grinned as the music came closer to the next lines, and without warning he dipped down, grabbed the guy by the collar and yanked him up on stage. The man looked surprised, but when Nick whirled and began to sing, dancing around him and sliding his free hand across the man's arms, along his broad shoulders, smirked at him through thick lashes, he smiled nervously. Zak had no idea what was going on, but he sang whenever the man in green stuck the microphone under his nose, loosening up and dancing along with him. The crowd loved it, they must have thought it was all planned.

As the last stanza of the song began, the lights dimmed, mist clouded the stage, and the man in green hooked Zak's ankles out from under him and Zak toppled backwards.

"Oh, brother, you're something, you put me in a spin!
You aren't comprehending, the position that you're in...
It's hopeless, you're finished, you haven't got a prayer!
'Cause I'm Mr. Oogie Boogie..." Nick got very close to the man's face, glistening with a fine layer of perspire under the single spotlight. His eyes were still piercing, blue and glittering, and his eyebrows lifted up across his forehead as they locked eyes. Nick slipped a hand across Zak's chest and leaned in inches from his nose.

"...and you ain't going nowhere."
