Waking up in the morning to the alarm beep wasn’t the most unpleasant thing.

These days though, having to pull herself out of bed in the morning was increasingly a drain.

It probably would help to not need to literally pull herself out of bed, but that is another story.

Eve groaned, swiped the smartphone once to turn off the alarm noise, then again to stop it from going to snooze. She blinked her eyes a few times and struggled to get the hangover feeling out of her head and eyes as the morning sun shining into her bedroom made her want to duck her head back under the pillow. Still she closed her eyes for a few moments, took a few deep breaths, then reached up to the pull bars and lifted herself off the bed.

Eve taped a couple buttons on the pull bar and held on tighter as a robotic arm moved her and the rest of the apparatus away from her bed and over the waiting set of quadrupedal legs.

Eve wasn’t the most athletic, or the fastest runner when she still had her own normal human legs, but having undergone the trauma she did getting into some reasonable level of fitness was somewhat mandatory even before considering how problematic replacements could be.

As she lowered herself down she brushed the fur on the quadrupedal set of legs. It might seem counterintuitive, but it really was easier to make a person with replacements walk with four legs than it was to get them adjusted to the flaws that came with the synthetic bipedal options. That friends of hers were into cosplay meant various Taurs were often well done compared to the utilitarian look many in her position would elect to use.

She smirked a bit, her dyed brown hair matching the fur of her new legs. She walked to the mirror and reached up, taking a quick little moment of standing only on her hind legs to reach for a red and white hat sitting on the top of the standing mirror.

“Gotta act like I wanna be the best today” she said with a smirk and put the hat on her head, watching the cosplay ears attached to it flick a few times before she took a quick walk around the room, watching herself in the mirror in her nightshirt.

Eve was attractive enough, not the most busty, not the most beautiful face, overall she thought she was a little more attractive than average, and looking around herself a few times to make sure she was properly connected and buttoned up to her robot half she thought she was pretty unique. Today was going to be her first day out and about since the accident. Her confidence was shaky at best, but she knew she’d be able to make an impression at the convention. She took off the hat, and looked around for a moment before deciding to set it in a chair in the room.

“Definitely don’t need that in here” she grumbled to herself.

It took some maneuvering to get herself into the bathroom and through her morning routine without the bot getting wet when she showered, but the fact that she was able to take a shower under her own power now was a blessing in itself. After toweling herself dry she brushed her hair and the bot’s fur, then went to put on the rest of her costume, once more ending with the hat and smirking a bit.

“Let’s hope Sarah’s right and people like an Eevee trainer Taur” she said with a smirk, glancing at her trainer attire Eevee girl fusion  before she walked out the door.
