Description This little fortress keep its name from the little "Astura" river that flows ends in the sea in its proximities.
It was part of an old defence ... now it is in a military zone, there is nothing inside and visits are not allowed ... but you can go swimming near here in summertime.
The location is close to the town of Nettuno (Lazio, Italy).

I've went to he Torre D'astura almost every summer since the summer of 2005. Especially diving in & around the roman fish basin. Beautiful sea! Especially below the surface!
