In reality, this is a so beautiful animal. Majestic, elegant, and filigree. And you‘ve managed to incroporate that into your picture! Great work!

Hello!!! I am from .
I just want to say first and foremost that I adore this piece!
Your lineart is very beautiful along with all the texture of the feathers and details on the plants. The transition from the very clean lineart to the coloring is excellent. And the subtle background colors do wonders to make the peacock itself pop from the picture.
I really love the wings coloring the most. It looks beautiful and the texture is amazing.
Overall is a very wonderful piece! Here are my few critiques though...
The amount of detail put into the peacock vs the plant life really stands out. I really like the bottom most plants and the log but the pink foxglove looks a bit off.
Also I feel it would really benefit the picture to give more of a detail feather texture to the tail, especially the spots. If you look at up close pictures of peacock tails it still is indivudal feather strands. Without that it kind of looks they're something sticking on top of a bushy tail.
To wrap this up though I wanna say it is really beautiful and you have a well rounded knowledge of the bird anatomy, very clean lineart, and beautiful coloring !

Thank you so much for the constructive feedback!
I actually really struggled with the foxgloves. They're really tiny (the illustration is A5 in size which is 5.8 x 8.3 inches) and for some reason the paper tore a bit when I was removing masking fluid. And of course it tore right from the top of the flowers. So not only was the paper a bit coarse where it shouldn't have been, I also had to do some really REALLY small scribble. Size is a real problem with my illustrations sometimes. I like to do all these tiny little details but they're just TOO tiny!
Same goes for the tail a little bit. There just wasn't any wiggle room so I had to cut some corners. Either I need to start doing huge greeting cards or then do them digitally

Ahh yeah that makes a lot of sense considering the size of the illustration!! I do really love the piece I was just trying to find things to nitpick!! But might I suggest that you could also edit your traditional pieces in a digital program as well! I've seen artists who flip between traditional and digital do that before just so you don't have to completely redo things or only stick to digital.

Hello, I am here from , I would like to go over the good, some suggestions , and the overall impact of your piece in brief.
The good:This is a beautiful piece and I love the amount of detail you got in the feathers and the foliage around the bird. I thought you used color pencils , but I see that you used color pencils and watercolors to bring the piece together. It is a great technique and helps to both add detail to watercolors, lay colors down faster, and helps stretch tool life more. It is always neat to see what one uses their mediums in varying combinations to make a single cohesive piece. I admire the depth you got with the leaves and tail feathers as well. you even brought some depth to the tree stump the peacock is sitting on. I looked at your description and i appreciate you both naming off the materials you used and the specific names on the subjects in said piece. I knew it was an Indian peacock and it looked like foxglove flowers, but I didn't know about angyo-star plants before this.
Suggestions: I don't have much to add. I can suggest either adding a bit more to the background or cutting off the top a bit to balance out the negative space. Also , for future reference , if their is anything specific you wish to be critiqued on , it would help to mention it in a comment or in the description. But that is optional.
Overall: I really like how you utilized your mediums here, each for their unique properties combined to make a gorgeous piece.Especially the eyes of the feathers. Lovely.

I'm guessing this is watercolors right? Well you did a good job anyway.
I like the little pink followers below a lot.
So yeah, nothing bad about this drawing really. Nothing too special,
but it's good to the point where you can pun it on a card.
