Ah yes, the mystery of Stella.
Well... It's a bit complicated - the creator hasn't commented on whether or not Stella is Alex's girlfriend, BUT--- it has been said that Alex and Igle are the only children of King Thunder and Queen Patricia.
This leaves the question of who Stella is. There are two possibilities.
Stella obviously knows the same Shellcore martial arts as Alex. It's possible that she's simply a friend and training companion.
The other option is girlfriend. While it's true that the girl in the ending of Shinobi World does not look like Stella, it's also true that Shinobi World was not going to be an Alex Kidd game originally. It was originally titled "Shinobi Kid". The change was to make it more viable for more than one fan set, AND since the main character was about Alex's propotions, all they had to do was change the head (and change the first boss a bit because Nintendo would have sued their ass off). If they did this, then they forgot to change the hero's girlfriend into Stella, instead having her as a blonde, kimono-dressed lass. This would mean that she's still MEANT to be Stella just-- they made an error. <<

Alex Kidd doesn"t have an true canon , unlike Sonic . only Enchented Castle, BMX trial and Miracle World have link between (there game was created by "Kotaro Hayashida" Alex Kidd's "father)(the Alex parents, Egle and Lora was mention or appear in two or three of this games) but the other game didn't have this link, unlike the use of Alex Kidd. I think when they created Alex Kidd in Shinobi world, they not know exactly if Alex Kidd have a girlfriend, but in case of it they didn't name the girl, for can say that the Alex Kidd's girlfriend and this girl was same person (so this girl is a sort of new look of Stella, but Stella is accepted as Alex Kidd girlfriend, Sega realase some music album in Japan, and AlexΒ appear with Stella, so I think she can be considered as Alex Kidd girlfriend and same girl from Alex Kidd Shinobi World

This is the greatest idea i'm sad to see that alex kidd had became a stepping stone to sonic i love sonic at first and i bet sega should bring him back cause he may have appeared in sega tennis and the racing games but he needs the new game that it will bring the nostalgic experience.

Exactly, Alex Kidd HAS a girlfriend, which is why I thought Stella was Alex's sister. Stella appears in the Arcade version of Alex Kidd and The Lost Stars, I thought I read somewhere that Alex was the middle child with Igul being Alex's older sibling.
