Benjamin is my favourite boy, as you can see, and I also put him in The Owl House universe... yeeeaaahhh I need to do some more original stuff than just billion AUs with the same character.... But still - I really really love him, and I didn't even wanted to publish this here but...
I heard the theory what Luz might have a Blue Jay palisman...
And I panicked because of this. Because if it's true - nobody will believe me what I didn't trace this idea from original series.
So yeah - his palisman is a Blue Jay. I was always thought what it's some sort of his spirit animal? Like, I dunno, if he was a bird - he would definitely be a Blue Jay.
So about the AU: In this universe there is such a thing as "Fake Covens".
Fake Covens is just an ink on witches/witchers skin, like tattoos, but they don't fade with time and they can easily change the coven whenever they like. The fake covens is perfectly identical to real ones, but they don't block or erase any magic from owner. Benjamin and the other two witchers are making this covens to others, to protect everyone from Emperor Belos and his plans.
But the Fake Coven can be also easily recognized: Remember how Raine was captured? Kikimora used their coven on their hand, to trap them in some sort of magic cage(or a cocoon? I dunno in series we didn't see how it's looks like). If coven is Fake - it will not happen, because like I said early - it's just like a tattoo, useless.

The covens what you can see on the reference for my precious boy - is the covens who's magic he using most of the time.
Bard's magic is for his real job, and healing coven's magic is for his family. Benjamin is working as a violinist, but in free time he's talking about the Fake Covens to other witches.
Sounds like some cult stuff, yeah? Actually it is kinda true - the leader of the Fake Covens is kinda... lost his mind...
