Thank you : ) Everyone's projects for this assignment were really good, I think. I've never tried to combine the two, drawing/painting, digitally so it was fun to do.

when I saw the abundance in color in the thumbnail, I was surprised to see that it was you who posted this. 8DD
You're so awesome at watercolor! -fails- Im really horrible at painting, I dunno.. I just cant grasp it. Like i get to impatient for everything to dry before painting on the next tone, so I end up ruining everything. *^* Teach me your ways, oh great master of the arts.

I am rather fond of watercolor. I suppose because I am always building up value in my drawings, and in watercolor you are building up color. LOL, you do have to be patient though.

I'd love to paint with watercolor, because it gives such a beautiful feel. ^^ Thing is, I also have trouble with mixing colors so that they turn out how I want them to when I paint. Cause when I apply the color, it's never exactly like how it looks when its on the pallet. So I always end up having a scrap paper to test the paint first, but do you have other methods so I wont waste my paper for tests? D:

You can always rule off like an inch on the paper you are using... like draw a line that makes your paper 8.5 x 10 instead of 8.5 by eleven and use that one inch to test your colors on... then you can cut off the tests when your done with the painting. You probably don't want to test on a paper of a different quality than your final piece, because papers are different whites--some are a warm white, some are cool--so the colors will look slightly different. But if you don't mind that, use a cheaper paper to test on : )

omg. Thats such a brilliant idea!
Usually, I just get the same paper and use the whole thing for one big testing thing. But I find that it's such a waste, especially if the paper's expensive. ;w;

chya, tell me about it. the paper I'm using is like 8 bucks a sheet >> I've drawn swatches all over the margins, which will be covered when it's framed.
