Someone asked how I scan larger images in a small scanner. So I was lazy and just made a video of me putting a 14x17 in a letter/a4 scanner with photoshop CS3. [link]The drawing is something I am trying to finish for a contest. Erm, I keep feeling as though it'll be to simple and plain when finished so I haven't touched it much since beginning. That, and I can't figure out whether I want her to be leaning against a paw or something else... .___. Anywhoo, I hope you enjoy

I should stop looking at your work because its so discouraging, but I can't! Everything you do has the utmost detail and you act like its nothing! So awesome! Its cool how it changes from detailed pencil to rough sketch.

LOL, well, I'm sorta of obsessive compulsive, and I have a lot of time on my hands so I lean toward the detailed side. Hm, I rather like to see the transition from the more finished to the unfinished. It shows how artists think. : )

I think she should be leaning against the back of his paw, like he's sort of supporting her? maybe? xD I think it would look cute.
So far, it looks wonderful. :3 I know it'l look even better when its actually done! ^^ I really really ADORE how you do hair. your lines are very flowy and wonderful, and the shading is so smooooth.

I'm amazed at how clean you keep your art! Especially, because it was done in pencil. I have a hard time trying not to smudge parts of the drawing, hah. Lovely work, maybe draw her sort of leaning of the paw, falling asleep. Sort of like this [link] hope that helps and good luck (:

you could also make her huging the paw,or making her lying in one paw,and the other paw on her back like a protective cudlign shelter (i hope i explained it right XD).
Either way the unfinished work already looks astonishing...gona add to fav's XD

Nevermind simplicity, simplicity is always welcome. But the amount of intricacy you weave into the hair is alone more than worth the price of admission, in my opinion! ^_^ Perhaps you could always fill up the rest of the space with flowers and vines and petals and trees and stuff to go with all the curvy and weavingy.

judging by the way you drew it, it looks like you were intending to go with a paw held out. but judging by platform the lion is on, it kinda looks like he shouldnt be able to do that. like hes a little too far back.the solution i see to that is making that paw into a paw hand hybrid. of course, doing that would turn him from a big lion to an anthropomorphic lion
another idea would be to make what shes laying on is a lock of his mane. honestly though, her lying on anything other than the lion would seem totaly out of place.

Bah, I wouldn't think so. One of my elementary school's mascot was a blank panther and for the reading shirts (to promote reading obviously) this giant black panther had two kids with mountains of books on one side near his paws. I loved that shirt as a kid.
