So I'm gonna try this out! this is a species idea I've been working on for Saraniaeve, and to bring in money I was hoping to auction this particular design off. I don't know if it'll get far, but for now let's give it a shot! Here are some species details:

Sáumrı
Pronounced: SHAW-mree
World: Saranıaeve
Rarity: Common (with variation)
Size: Around the size of an earth horse
Habitat: Grasslands or plains, you might find some along beaches
Eating habits: Herbivore

Sáumrı, like the ıaevı themselves, have somewhat of vestigial wings. Since they evolved to become speedy land-animals, their wings turned into a way to attract mates. Genes among sáumrı are passed down, so a family of sáumrı is easy to spot. However, there are many different types of patterns, tails, and even body shapes of sáumrı. The most common case is a thin-coated, tall and slim animal with an abundant tail of long, silky feathers. While stripes are also common, the coat patterns vary from sáumrı to sáumrı.

Although these beautiful creatures are indeed sentient, mating for life and maintaining their own form of communication through what can only be called speech, they are hunted down by many ıaevı. Their meat is tender and sweet, and their beautiful fur and feathers provide great pieces of clothing and decoration. The ıaevı of Ramamanae will occasionally put the less-beautiful sáumrı to work in fields, or even as transportation mules. Their feathers are trimmed and they are harnessed well, so not as to escape. The sáumrı have attempted rebellion, since peace is not really an option; both species have such fundamentally different ways of communication that it is almost impossible to coexist. The sáumrı would not mind sharing Saranıaeve with their ıaevı counterparts, but once again, a peace treaty is not quite on the table.
