Bigwis is just such an awesome character and I think his personality is outstanding amongst all of the watership down characters, which I think are all very special. Richard Adams blew me away with that book.

I hope you like my version of bigwig. He is one of the characters I could imagine the clearest while reading the book. This is him before the fight against woundwort. I need to draw a pivture of him with the scars.

Little question though, was he left blind on one eye in the book?

I absolutely love bigwig and his heroic way, always prepared to face the black rabbit of Inlé if needed. In some way I've found that he's more like el-ahrairah than hazel is. At least in the part with facing death. It's like both were sharing the role of el-ahrairah. I really love both of them and the fact that bigwig is the strongest and the bravest, but not the chief rabbit makes his role extremely special. I had thought of a similar role for one of the guardians, maybe Raaeyk in my Story "The Silver Wall" even before reading watership down, with him not being the highest, but the bravest of them all.

And I just love those eyes. I hope you like my picture. Though I think the original looks way better than the scan. I had to darken it so you could see it well. I might update the version. I love how his eyes turned out in the original. Sadly, I didnt use different pencil grades on this one, so the shading looks a little flat.
