A fantastic work.
The total feel and air of it suits the subject very well, which you've captured perfectly. As someone who has no talent for oils, it makes me wonder how you did this. The transparent dome is a very nice touch. the fact you're using the design from the original Alien movie is also a nice touch, as most people tend to use the Alien V.S. Predator incarnation. You also have captured that otherworldly feeling very well with the striking way the light is hitting it, yet also made it subtle at the same time, a mark of true skill. The way you've depicted some details, yet left others in shadow is a very nice way of rendering the image.
Some digital art, for example, almost seems to be overcrowded with detail.
You also have avoided the pitfall of making the Alien's torso too thick, which keeps its skeletal quality very well.
Your skill is amazing, and I have to say, very professional. You should be an illustrator, or paint covers for books.
Bravo!
