The Aqualings are amorphous, and shapes vary between individuals. They won't keep the same shape every time they generate. Most Witnesses will see either a floating blob or an aquatic creature (Ex: an axolotl, as depicted in the Codex). Sizes greatly vary, from 2ft (60.9cm) to 20ft (609.6cm). As the Aqualings increase in size, their form becomes unstable and won't keep animalistic shapes. Signs of instability include a bulbous appearance, droopy form, asymmetrical growths, and an irregular number of limbs.

All Aqualings possess chalky, round organs inside their bodies. These orbs dissolve perpetually without losing mass. Larger Aqualings will have a maximum of five and have more of a chance of having conjoined orbs. One can mistaken these organs as bath bombs because they're close to accurate to their earthly counterpart.
The orbs purify the Borderling's body and have a variety of scents that combine or stand alone.

Scents discovered as of recently:

Lavender, citrus, cotton candy, eucalyptus, tears, sea salt, fresh rain dew, mint, copper, lemongrass, rose, bergamot, red velvet cake, red and white wine, ichor of an unknown Borderling ( described as having an aroma of cooked meat with a sharp, earthy hint), [ CENSORED. The Aqualings always hover above ground and will flatten into puddles instantaneously on contact with any sold surface. Humans, plants, and animals are an exception, as they envelop them without any harmful effects.

The orbs purify the Aqualings and any organic matter that ended up inside them. Animals and humans go into a trancelike state, seeing undulating patterns in front of their eyes. No eternal stimuli would affect them unless the Borderling leaves the individuals behind. Once left by the Aqualings, they slowly regain consciousness. The person or animal takes about 5 to 10 minutes to fully become aware.

Metals oxidize quickly inside Aqualings. Organic matter will burn when metal touches the Borderlings, causing the creature to wince in pain along with the Witness they're treating.

Aqualings dispise any conflict and loud noise, and will flee when a heated argument happens or if someone nearby bangs two skillets together. Larger Aqualings will carry affected Witnesses inside their bodies, resulting in accidents whenever the Borderlings hit walls while escaping.

One of the uncommon Borderlings, the Aqualings, can appear anywhere where there are large bodies of water. They are most common after rainfall or after the lawn sprinklers turn on. Bathtubs, swimming pools, and fountains also have a likelihood of Aqualing manifestation. Look for a puddle that doesn't show your reflection. This is the Aqualing in its dormant state. When seeing an ailing person, the Borderling rises and engulfs them in its body.

Aqualings behave differently around a seafaring Borderling, [■■■ ■■■■■■■■■■]. They combine into amalgamations and change in different shapes. The Aqualings become tools for the other, as one Witness describes it, changing into tendrils, blades, and even geometric shapes.
