This summer, moreso than i can ever remember, seems to have an abundance of wild flowers everywhere. Im sure its becasue April has been so mild, more flowers over longer period of time leads to abundance.

This plant is a member of the sedge in the family Cyperaceae sometimes known as cottongrass, many different types grow in artic conditions. It is all over Dartmoor at the moment...

wow, i'm surprised to see that your DOF is not wider than that even if you used f/18
i suspect you did not focus at the hyperfocal distance, but further away, am i right?

its from dartmoor national park in the south west of england.....the pointy bit that points at you across the ocean...

I have also noticed more flowers than ever this year and it seems consistent through species. I honestly don't know why it is but I guess something to do with cold winter (more normal for this part of the world) and the mild early spring. Also the lack of rain forces plants to flower in an attempt to produce next years seed but who knows.
