I spent the night in a tent for this shot....not that it was any hardship....although it was cold theres something spiritually fulfilling about being outside in extremes.Belstone Tor is one of the most northerly tors on dartmoor, the landscape here is of big open valleys with high tors as this one that are quite often strewn with a large circumference of differing sizes of granite.
This was shot early in the morning just before the sun burst over the horizon to the left of this shot.
I cooked myself a breakfast of bacon egg beans toast and egg and enjoyed the rising sun....

I like this a lot....but it looks bloody freezing.
Perhaps you could have saturated the colours more though...and I think the inclusion of a cat would only have benefited the shot

I am not sure about this one steve. I think it is a very honest look at dartmoor, but the composition feels more like a number of elements put together inside the frame rather than there being and order or flow to the shot. I wonder if you could have made more of the ice puddles, which seem to be the main subject but occupy a small portion of the frame.
