Description an unashamed bright sunny day shot from Dartmoor National Park.

The heather is at its best at the moment, although the same cant be said for the weather. It seems we are experiencing a summer not dissimilar to last years.
Which equates to a day of sun/cloud followed by two days of intense tropical rain.

Its an illustration for me of how our weather has changed in this country. The seasons have basically become less well defined, and we seem to be able to have any seasons weather on any day!!!

Somewhat of a paradox thats we've raised temperatures enough on this planet that hey presto we can now get at lots of natural resources under the arctic.......rest assured your grand kids will be toasty...

Drove past Haytor, Saddle and walked up to Pill then down the hill near Widdicombe last night. Loads of Heather out already. Early?
Quite a dark fringing on here Steve..? Intentional?
Love the colour of fresh heather. A real head turner. One of those times of the year where you just want to walk and keep walking through it. As good as bluebells Id say.
Nice to have some uploads from you.

I dont know this, but I think the bell heather turns first. I have seen some of that about, but there isnt much up the Cleave at the moment.

The heather is nice in this shot and I like the sky.
