Okay so I read the first chapter of Naruto Gaiden. I also read the interviews that follow, so before the comments start up, NO. KARIN IS NOT SARADA'S MOTHER. SAKURA IS. IT HAS ALREADY BEEN CONFIRMED. So please don't do it, okay?Edit: Since people want to be direspectful little fuckheads and come onto my artwork telling me she's Karin's kid...

Kishimoto: あんまり可愛い感じではなく、少し暗めで芯の強い感じにしようかなと。僕の中だとサスケ の女のバーションです。ただ、サスケみたいな女の子だとちょっと怖いんで、サクラ的な要素も入れてます。メガネの子って 外すと可愛いとか、普段はそういうイメージで語られやすいんですが、メガネのままでも可愛くなるようなデザインを心掛けました。服はサクラの雰囲気を踏襲していく感じですね。
She doesn’t give off the impression of being overly cute. Rather, she might give off the sense of being a little bit dark and lost with her strong heart. In my head, she’s the female version of Sasuke. But since a Sasuke-like girl is a bit frightening, I also input some components that are Sakura-like. When she takes off her glasses, she’s cute. It was always that sort of image that’s easily spoken about. While wearing glasses, I aimed for her to have like a cute design. The impression of her clothes emulate an air of Sakura’s style.

The child who was born between Sasuke and Sakura. She wears glasses that are in an elite and sophisticated-like style, so it gives off the impression of her being intellectual. She has short hair and the same black hair as Sasuke.
Now that that is off my chest...
First and foremost I’m not going to apologize for this because this is what I want to see happen. I doubt it will, but who knows right? xD I sketched this last night really late and woke up today, it’s pouring down rain outside so I decided to color it. Hope you guys like it! Sasuke is telling Sarada he is sorry and after she gets over her initial anger towards him and it turns to just wanting to be held by her dad, she rushes into his arms in tears. I really want to see a great relationship dynamic between this father and daughter. So badly. I can't hate Sasuke. I can't bash him the way others right now, simply due to the fact that WE DO NOT KNOW ENOUGH! We don't know WHY he left and has been gone for so long, nothing. So before I jump on the "let's accuse Sasuke of being a deadbeat dad" bandwagon, why not wait til we get more chapters and more info, huh? Anyway, so yeah. Here you go. Some father/daughter angsty dynamics. Enjoy!
Oh and btw, Sarada is my favorite character in this series, right up next to Sasuke.
If you idiots are gonna come on here running your mouth about her being Karin's child, you're gonna get your fucking heads bit off and then blocked. I don't appreciate the disrespect on MY artwork.

Sarada was always Sakura's daughter. Not counting the OBVIOUS sharingan, black hair and eyes she inherited from her father, you can clearly see she inherited Sakura's forehead, eye shape, and facial structure.
On the DNA thing, it said "100% match" Your genes don't match your parents 100%, not even 50%. You obviously learn this in high school. The only way it would match 100% if it was a clone or the same person. And contrary to what people believe, on Karin's desk was an umbilical cord not a piece of Karin's hair... That cord was obviously not Karin's, it was Sarada's. For the records not being in Konoha's hospital...can you not be a on a vacation and then give birth in a hospital THERE!? Since the vacation part seems unlikely, there's another theory. Sarada is an Uchiha, but she's 50% Uchiha. Obviously the Sharingan would give her complications in the eyes, hence the glasses, she's intelligent like her parents, possibly reads a lot of books like her mother. What happens when you read very often without resting your eyes? You become nearsighted, needing glasses. Sasuke and Sakura possibly knew that the Sharingan would give complications even before she was born so they went to Team Taka for help so that explained why Karin was involved in the birth process (explaining why there are no records in Konoha's hospital) and having Sarada's umbilical cord.
Having the sharingan equals eventual blindness equals needing new eyes. Due to the Uchiha massacre, Sasuke was the last living Uchiha so why not create new eyes using her DNA and stem cells? That can happen...
Kishi's the ultimate troll. Everyone knows that so why don't they realize Sakura is Sarada's mother?

If you're going to come onto my art bashing Sasuke, don't comment. Yes, I'm sure he will apologize, but we have NO IDEA WHY he even left in the first place, and his apology to Sakura was extremely heartfelt and meaningful.

I'm not blindly bashing Sasuke, I'm just not brushing aside the fact that he's an absentee father on top of the rest of the crap that he's pulled.
Therefore, I HOPE that Sasuke's reasoning and apology to his daughter is better than what he gave Sakura. Especially given the actual pain and turmoil that Sakura and Sarada are canonically shown to go through in Sasuke's absence.

I haven't been keeping up with Naruto really (I know how it ended but didn't really read the chapters eheh...) so I read 701 and was very confused. But ah this makes me happy. Also I agree with the "let's wait and see what happens" sentiment. I hate when people jump to conclusions...
And this is awesome! I would like to see it happen too! I rather liked that at the end of the manga everyone kinda got a happy ending so to speak (from my understanding anyway - still need to go back and read those chapters heh) so it would be awesome to see a nice family dynamic between them

I read/watched most of it actually(i think?) up until the part where tobito starts the infinite tsukuyomi thingy and you start learning about obito as a little kid. Um yup. Then I got bored lol. But I want to start reading it again I think xD I do like the manga better too...after watching other anime with better art I just can't idk

Ahhh yeah I understand. Shippuden is SO long and a good portion of it is fillers too. I just try and skip past the fillers so I can watch the main story. On top of that, it's annoying! They're going through a filler season right now even the manga has already ended. I mean c'mon, SP. Can't we just get back to the main stuff already? Ugh... but yeah I prefer manga because of the art aspect.

Fillers are a problem in Naruto. I talk about this with my brother like all the time (everytime it's "Naruto has too many fillers wtf is this??" haha) but yeah I felt even the manga had a ton of filler content....just random stuff about random characters idk I think it might have been better to make a fact book about characters maybe? With less important details (things not absolutely pertinent to the story) in it that way you still can read about them if you want but it doesn't make the story take forever idk. I like to read everything just because I'm afraid of missing some detail that might come up later and suddenly be important but I might just skip past all the fillers so I can read the actual end of the series xD

Some fillers are really enjoyable. I love the Team 7 fillers when they were still genin. Sasuke Paw Encyclopedia made me laugh a lot. Lol wearing the cat ears.

Well she could have inherited them from her paternal or maternal family members. Any trait can be carried down from any member of the genetic line, and we haven't seen many of Sakura's family, other than her parents, so what about everyone else in her paternal and maternals history? Perhaps there have been Uchiha wth eye problems and needed glasses..?

Thank you for clearing this up for everyone. Even if it wasn't confirmed that Sarada 's mother is Sakura (which it is clearly) it would completely throw everything we know about Sasuke so far out of the window! On a lighter not, this artwork is awesome!

I think SK fans just love making ridiculous theories. And exactly. He's always loved Sakura, even in his darkest when he couldn't see the light he did. That's just Sasuke's character. Honestly i'm more interested now to see what has happened to Taka and more specifically Karin and her reaction to Sakura and Sarada. Sakura saved Karin's life in part 2 and Karin is a relative of Naruto's. Only time will tell

This is really nice. The Uchiha family, not the clan, is my favorite family in the entire Naruto world since I love both Sasuke and Sakura. Now that they are canon and have a daughter, I love Sarada as much as I love her parents.
I believe that the reason Sasuke has been gone for so long is to redeem himself for all of the wrongs that he's done. I'm hoping within the next chapters, there will be a moment when Sasuke returns home, then Sarada will probably question her dad about Karin, and if she does both Sasuke and Sakura will be honest about Karin, not destroy their family bond hopefully.

No, I don't think it has to do with redemption. He would've already redeemed himself ages ago, especially if he came home, got married to Sakura, made love to her and they had Sarada together. He would've already been done with his journey. I think there is tons more to it than that. I think it's for the sake of his family. Either to protect them, could be something that has to do with Sarada wearing glasses and being an Uchiha. It's also revealed, she has the Sharingan. The Sharingan could be making her go blind since she's not pure Uchiha like Sasuke is. I have theories. Another one could be maybe Sarada has the same illness as Itachi and Sasuke has been trying to find a cure. Another one is maybe his family is danger and that's why he's away, to keep the threat out of arm's reach of them. Another is make Sakura is sick and that's why she's passing out so much and he's trying to find something to help her. Sakura is being very cryptic and secretive I noticed in this chapter with Sarada. She's keeping a secret. I don't think it's just Sasuke's dark past either. I do think she'll find out about her dad's dark past, I know she'll question who Karin is, but Karin has no significance to this family whatsoever.
