I finally posted something! *gaspshockhorror*Another WIP, bit I wanted to post this before I spent the anticipated 5 or 10 hours coloring it... eep...

Doing this for a possible scholarship - the task was to create an original piece of scifi or fantasy art that would be submitted and judged this spring (I'm getting a head start, heh). If I go all the way to the second round of judging, I could get up to $4,000/yr, which would be amazing... *wishpleasehope*

Wow. That's a lot of details to keep track of when you're coloring! 
I love your dragons' designs. The earth has leaf-shaped wings and the edges of the fire's wings are tattered like the tips of flames..^^ All four of them are beautiful. I can't wait to see a finished version and best of luck getting that scholarship!

Beautiful job with this! This does look like something I would expect to find on the cover of a book; it's so detailed and has that cover art style to it (you know what I mean?). Love the job you did with the symbols and the background. I have an extremely hard time making a realistic, detailed background, but it seems to come easy for you. The frame was also drawn wonderfully; it's about as close to perfectly symmetrical that anyone can get without the help of a computer. The dragons themselves don't even really need any critiquing, they're that good. I know you don't want to hear this, but Drakk reminds me of Vaporeon, sorry, but he does especially with that tail! I hope you get that scholarship; you really deserve it. I won't be entering, because if I did, this entry would just crush mine to smitherines.

Oh, wow. I mean... wow. You think that I'VE been improving? Jesus, Sastrei. This is AMAZING. Each dragon visibly has its own distinct personality. *drools* Mythalia is still my favorite out of all four, though Drakk comes in as a close second. When this is colored... dear God. I mean, it's already incredible. Are you going to color it traditionally or digitally? Either way... damn. I'm at a loss for words here. If you don't win that money... I will die. Seriously. My heart will IMPLODE. How big is this picture anyway?

Firstly, thank you for the awesome comment ^^ (as always)
I'm coloring it in colored pencil, because my prisma markers have too big ot tips to get all the tiny little spots (which there are a lot of, heh) and they also tend to bleed out of the lines sometimes. I REALLY hope I win; I'm putting like all of my concentration into this one, which I don't usually do.
The paper is 14"x17", I believe. Hee.

That's a pretty big picture for such a lot of detail. I'm sure you'll win! If the judges (or whoever) can't see how detailed and amazing this is, I'll blow their freakin' heads off. ;D Hah hah
I'm going to favorite this again once it's colored and make it my new background. So hurry up! Or... take your time. Cause it has to look super nice so you win first place.

Pretty much. There's the usual rules of no excessive violence or nudity or anything like that... and also the final copy has to be no bigger than 9"x12". But that's really it.

The "L. Ron Hubbard" scholarship. My dad found it while he was looking around on scholarships.com. There's some pretty odd scholarships available out there, i'm telling you..
