Description part 2 of lokis trousers
the trousers started off as store bought leather trousers ive modded.
the armor that goes on the side was the worst part,there is 110 per leg ,each part is 2cm wide by 3cm long , each has been sculpted ,then 3 layers of pva glue was added then 4 dots of 3d paint ,then after that i covered each in a layer of black spray paint then a light layer of gold, then after a layer of clear spray paint, most of the time both the black or gold missed parts so i had to fill that in with a tiny paintbrush.

ive added in the inner brown panels and im working on sewing the criss cross detail on too, most of this has been sewn by hand ,its been alot more work than thought but im getting there

i dont own loki or marvel just a fan

yep its a lil detail i didnt notice for a while till hd pics came online, lucky i hadnt started making the trousers or i might have missed itΒ

Maybe this is a dumb question, but I don't quite understand how to sew the criss-cross pattern together without seams showing... By any chance could you try to explain it or maybe just draw the pattern on a paper and mark where the seams are?

yeah sure

drawing it , id probs confuse you more, so instead ill link you too some posts from my tumblr on how I made it, the trousers, main tunic and sleeves were pretty much all made the same way. I hope these help!

Another quick question... do you have any photos of what the back of your tunic looks like? I know it will be hidden by the coat but I'm not really sure how to go about it. Did you use all green fabric, black, or a mix? Just wondering

just black cotton , I used cheap cotton that was nice n thin so that I stay cool in costume

I already have a finished pair of trousers and I'm planing to make the silver/Gould things ^^'
But how did you put them on? Did you sew them?

the leg bits are made from foam board 5mm thick, then layered with pva glue, then spray painted ,I just glued them onto sections of cotton

, once you get into making all the armour , its really not that bad, its just very borning doing the same job over, putton on some music helped me

I'll definitely put on some music, yes XD (my world does not work without it ^^')
but it's getting the material to make the armour out of that's gonna be the biggest problem ^^'
(here in Denmark we don't really have foam board or at least it's hard to get T.T)

ah well I know you can get it online,i have seen it on ebay , that board used for the trousers was 5mm thick

wow... this looks like an utter pain in the backside Since I'm pressed for money, time (helping my friend make a Sif costume ) and I'm just utterly lazy, I'm just using some fabric paint on gold pleather

I see that your progress on the costume has been like mine XD I had to hand-sew everything except for the base of the pants. It was the only part that I've been able to use my sewing machine for thusfar. Keep up the great work though, looking good!
