Description
The doll can be considered a voodoo doll. My Diabeł is based off of a "curse" I created a couple years ago, and each feature has a reason as to why it's there. For right now, I'll focus on the doll.
Each "demon," as they're born, is assigned to a doll which represents them at some point in their life. There is a dormant energy kept separate from them within the doll, which is released if the doll is broken, torn, ripped, etc. The first time the energy is connected always takes the longest, giving them time to repair or fix the doll before the effects take place. For example, the energy would be released if the doll's head were ripped off, and if it weren't fixed in time, the demon whom the doll belonged to would wind up decapitated. Since they have a mutual energy with the dolls, they will know if it's being tampered with. Usually, they tend to be protective over them, and most choose to lock their dolls away or store them somewhere easily accessible to them, as abandoning them is too risky, should something happen to the doll and they can't locate it.
