Description 3D Splits

This fractal is made with #Apophysis 7X15
Based on a classic Split/Elliptic pattern.
The tutorial is on my resources gallery
I hope you will appreciate it

So this is, how to say it well, like a trick.
It's not at all a 3D flame, but only 2D.
I was trying to create a 3D E/S but without any success...
So i've just decide to fake this 3D aspect by playing with blur / shadows and shapes
And i'm pretty proud of the result

aww yays I love the fake 3d effect made with blur too it worked wonderfully with old school flames as well, I didn't know it looked so nice with ell-splits

The 3d illusion is genius! the blur in certain areas creates the depth of field... but its still 2d
