you're right, it totally was a rush ending. you go from harry reuniting with ron and hermione at bloody hogwarts to (failing) marriages 19 years later. harry and hermione end up together in the end no matter how you go about it, despite how many children either of them has. They're just too perfect together not to end up in a romantic way.
