Decided to challenge myself and draw a dinosaur based on the amazing work by Scott Hartman.So this is my rendition of Sue and Scotty! Two T.Rex who's remains were actually found only a few states away from each other. Since they both also died at 28, and Scotty was actually bigger than Sue, I liked the idea that Scotty could have been Sue's daughter (or vice versa) or maybe they werent related at all!
Either way I just wanted to draw two rexes traveling together and I'm really happy with the outcome! This was also my first time experimenting with overlay masking, which is how I gave them texture, and I love how it turned out. I also based all their scaring on the details found in their remains.
Background is a photo I took on a trip I took to South Dakota a few years ago.
