He hatched in a toymaker's workshop, and the item he mimicked was a broken toy airplane, which is the reason he's missing an arm (also why he's called "Shrapnel"). I based the colors on both some toy airplanes I saw and the sky, sun, and clouds. I also tried to make his ears and tail resemble the wings and vertical stabilizer/rudder of a plane, but I'm not sure if I succeeded.

He loves flying, of course, and has the little remote-control airplane that he likes to fly around in (which is controlled by another OC of mine).
