Would you believe me if I said I sketched this weeks ago, way before chapter 698? Well, I made Sasuke without his left arm...so then I just redrew it with Naruto's arm missing as well.I find it very difficult to draw lately, because I'm very tired and I've had a really big month...which upsets me because now is the time when I want to draw the most because Naruto ended and I want to show my love for the series and provide lots of stuff for the NS community. So forgive me my absence.
And I'll just add once more (and I don't think I'll ever stop saying it), that I'm so happy Sasuke is free I could cry! >//<

It's strange that in the movie they have both of their arms uncovered but in chapter 700 Naruto has bandages on his arm.
I still hate the fact that they were kept ALIVE the entire night like that, but then other people die from one shuriken to the back that doesn't even penetrate their flak vest...

I'm not sure what you mean...Naruto's arm is bandaged in the Last movie. Sasuke doesn't yet have his arm because he left before Tsunade could give him a new one. In 700, it's still unclear whether Sasuke has a left arm because he reached for his sword with his right and his cape covers the rest.

My mistake, thought I saw it wasn't.
How do you know he doesn't have his arm? How many times has Sasuke actually reached for his sword with his left arm? I don't remember him ever using his left arm for it.

I know because there's an official sketch of his design in the Last movie that shows he has no arm under the cloth. Plus, it's specifically stated in 699 that Sasuke is leaving before Tsunade finishes his new arm. In 700 he may or may not have it, we don't see it, but I'm sure he would b/c he's since cme back to the village and settled. He's also ambidextrous, and is seen using Chidori from both hands.

In 700 there is a HUGE mistake with when they show Sasuke: his sword is shown on his left hip first. It switches to his right hip and then it's on his left again.

Nah, it's not a mistake. Sasuke likely carries his sword the same way he did throughout shippuden; across his hips, which means it slants up from left to right. Same thing for the movie, he just has it higher. No mistake ^^'

It IS a mistake; go look at the panels again. I'd also really like to know where you're getting your info about him having his sword like that for the movie.
Also, it's against this site's rules to post artwork that you stole and colored from manga chapters. That and it's some form of plagiarism.

If you're insinuating Sato ripped this off the manga and colored it you're sadly mistaken. I was there when they drew it and watched the initial sketch. If you've an issue with someone that's all good and dandy, but accusing them of illegal art theft is complete and utter bull. It's low, and that kind of accusation is a lot more serious than you seem to realize.
Also, saying that anything in the manga is a mistake is pretty thick headed. It's Kishimoto's manga. He can do with it whatever he damn well pleases. What Sato was trying to say it, it may have seemed like he switched his sword but in reality it's the way it sits when he has it holstered, so to speak. But even so, if Kishi wants Sasuke to switch his sword orientation he can switch his sword orientation. You can't say it's a mistake if Kishi did it himself.
As for movie details, the official page and the official Facebook page has put out plenty of information. there's concept sketches galore, as well as trailers for the movie and so on and so forth. It's all public access so anyone with an internet connection can look at it.
There is official art of Sasuke without his arm. It's very easy to find. Hell, search Tumblr, it's everywhere. I'd say you should get the snotty tone out of your voice when you type before you blow smoke up your own ass, honey. Sato knows what they're talking about, believe me.

I wouldn't of known that unless I read the chapter; the bandage.
The bandage signifies that the clone process messed up later along the line. His arm was also the same color as normal rather than the white fluid like Obito's, so that's an oversight or sketchy.

Thank you for this beautiful drawing! I think it expresses pretty much all our feelings. 
And yes, I believe you that you drew Sasuke like this weeks before the real end. You always showed such an incredible insight, that I have no doubt about it.
Your drawing reflects so beautifully the aftermath of the fight. Sasuke's sad and sorry face, the scar(?) in height of his heart hinting at his change in mind is impressive. Naruto had to rip his heart out and replace it with his to free him from the darkness. Now Sasuke shows remorse about the time lost and spent in blind hatred, teyes show ime he could have spent with his one and only friend.
Even Naruto's gaze shows sadness about the fact that they had to go this far to become true friends again, but it also shows faith in the future, cause now everything is how it was meant to be. They're together forever and that the price to gain it wasn't nearly too high.
I also am happy that Sasuke's free now, but I'm even happier that Naruto's also free. His longing to bring Sasuke back and save him from the darkness has tortured him for so long, now that it's fulfilled he can finally become happy again.
And that's the real end for me, one we're allowed to dream of what'll happen in the future. For me, as for so many others chapter 699 was the real end. And I also think this was Kishimoto's intention. To let us choose about the end. It would be what Naruto would do. "I'll find my own way."

I'm speechless, I have no words to describe how BEAUTIFUL (!!) it is.
This is all I ever wanted..for them to be like this..together..happy and smiling... :'}
Today I finally cried...a lot..been feeling so empty when Naruto ended, and that last
chapter felt like betrayal from the author's part..........well, I heard it was his assistants
job, but he still allowed it into the world..anyways..I felt so empty and couldn't even cry,
people writing their farewells and saying that its ok, that we need to move forward,
that that's what Naruto would want us to do didn't make me feel better either, it was all on the
contrary. But thanks to my bestie, today I think I was finally able to free myself..he said
we don't need to forget Naruto, that we need to treasure him and keep carrying him with us
in our hearts...Naruto helped me in becoming a happier person, in creating bonds, in becoming
a strong-willed achiever. I wish he could stay with us just a little longer..
I'm sorry I rambled here so much.. I hope you survived this week better than I did. :}

Your words about the ending of Naruto moved me. I think that most of the fans think the same way. Their feelings go from sadness to disappointment or even anger. Most of them decided to forget about chapter 700 and let 699 be the end. I also think that 699 should have been the real end. But simply ignoring #700 doesn't help so much either, we've seen what we've seen and it doesn't go out of our mind completely.
But I decided to let Naruto live on in fandom and enjoy many alternate universes, there are so many incredibly good doujinshis and fanfictions and as I understood it, the end of Naruto just strengthened the will of the artists to go on with it in fandom. Why should we accept only canon? Naruto belongs to us all!
Therefore I wrote a very small fanfiction which makes it easier for fandom to blend out #700. Kishimoto pulled a "Harry Potter" on us, now I in return puled a "Dallas" on him. XD

Hahahahaahaha, I loved the "Forgotten Epilogue"! It would've been so
much better! In all honesty, I actually believe that an open-ended closure
of the manga would've made everyone happy.Β So that everyone could imagine
and create their own alternative universes like you said, and we would've avoided
so much hate that's going on in the fandome right now. Also, poor Kishimoto-sensei,
receiving so much hate. Β
I've been so stresses 'cos of the ending that I had to leave the fandome for more
than almost two months... But now I'm back. Β

I think just ending the manga with chapter 699 would have been the best way, but since the series was built up around Naruto becoming the greatest ninja of all times, they were quite in a predicament and couldn't leave it with an open ending. Either Naruto had to die or become Hokage in the end. They had to show at least that much. So they were forced to pull a "Harry Potter" and jump to the future. They just did in the worst way possible.
I'm also unhappy about the ship wars which rage now even worse than before. The series wasn't about the outcome of the pairings, indeed they all could have ended up with totally unknown characters (like Kiba did), it's often like that in life. I really feel shame for those who bring pain over themselves and others by struggling over such petty subjects. They can mourn and complain about it (god knows I do that a lot), but not fight. That's stupid.
It was decided that way in canon and that's it. I never was an absolute believer into canon anyway. I always preferred the worlds of doujinshi, cause it was much more fun. And we still can all create alternate universes and become happy. What's the big deal about it? It lies in the subject itsself: alternate universe. That implies having no reference to canon except for the characters. So many possibilities...
Naruto tried to free his friend of all the hatred and make him his friend again. He succeeded where generations before him always failed, to change someone's mind to a better. That alone made me happy. I never doubted it anyway. LOL
Also the hate towards Kishimoto-san is unappropriate. He gave us so many years of his life and such beautiful entertainment. Why hate him just for one slip of mind? It's very likely that it was the choice of the publishers anyway. Kishimoto always said he'd like a SasuNaru ending. I just think most of the fans wouldn't have liked that (especially the male ones, lol). It's not such a casual thing to happen in our society although everyone acts as if it was. But when it comes to the real thing you'll see that prejudice and exclusion are still very alive and most people can't cope with people outing themselves as gay.
Oh, I feel awfully sorry that the ending got to you this hard.
But I'm really glad you're back now.

That made me choke up a little...Naruto will always be in the hearts of those who remember him. He helped me so much too, I identify with him so strongly. And Sasuke...a part of me is very Sasuke, very dark, very in need of love even if it's just a small part. And I empathize with him. I felt empty too, at the end. I saw the het pairings coming a mile away yet still I wasn't prepared. My only saving grace is Sarada...and Bolt a bit. But I'm focusing in my head on their relationships with their fathers. It was just...the whole story was about Naruto and Sasuke and I feel like them going off and getting married was so...forced. It feels as though they're like so many hidden homosexuals of today, hiding their feelings because it's not what society says they should do. So I really feel your emotion, and thank you for sharing.

During the time that I typed the previous message I thought I was
okay, but was actually overflowing with emotions. The wedding and the
kids indeed felt forced. I did expect Naruto to get together with Hinata, but
never in my mind I thought Sasuke would get together with Sakura. It always
seemed like one sided love, and whenever Sasuke recalled ppl he treasured
it was always his family and Naruto. There was one time he thought of the
entire Team 7 when he used to be with the Taka team, probably because he
was relating them together, that's it. Never did he think of her and only her even once.
It looked like she always irritated him and whenever she talked to him in the Shippuden
series it only seemed like he'd get even more annoyed, because she said what she said
due to the old crush she had on him. Their sudden relationship was one of the greatest things
that got me so upset and overwhelmed overall. I guess I'm still hurting inside due to various
things that happened with the series. That's why I avoided everything related to Naruto for
almost more than 2 months, and just recently got back to the fandom.
So yeah, I hope you don't feel as depressed 'cos of the ending as I do. Let's just enjoy whatever
is left of it.
