Violet shoots her in the back, stunning her.

Violet frowns, though her helmet hides the expression. Marie’s body seems to be turning into some sort of glowing dust. “We’re supposed to take them alive!”

Angel glances at her and the others, and everyone on the beach goes dead still as the jumpsuit Angel is wearing fades away to be replaced with black wings and archaic armor.
