Oh, well, yes. In Japan the name is written with the kanas 'Ra' and 'mu', that when transcripted to roma-ji is written Lamu. If an english guy pronunces 'Lum' he'll read (for us languages-descendant-of-latin-speakers people... and for japanese people too...) 'Lam'. So, basically, Lamu and Lum are the same, but Lamu is as a japanese would write it and Lum is as an english or american would write it. But the pronunciation is the same

I like the tiger stripes. I think some shading on this would look nice. Right now it is just a little dull being flat white with a flat gray background

The shading was one of the things that were lost with the Photoshop treatment. It's sad, but I think it's better like this, anyway.
